Our Story.

Janet Ryvin and Jane Friedman have transformed a generations-old, much loved family recipe into present-day artisanal confections that are quickly taking the Bay Area by storm.

The story of The Grand Meringue began at The Grand Hotel in Pretoria, South Africa, owned by Janet’s great grandparents.

Our handcrafted meringues are  crunchy on the outside and mallowy soft on the inside. They come in an array of beautiful colors and flavors. Each meringue is hand-piped using the highest quality ingredients, sourced predominately from the Bay Area, and most are naturally gluten-free.

As beautiful as they are delicious, our meringues are perfect for weddings, host/hostess gifts, baby showers, bar/ bat mitzvahs, open houses, and as corporate gifts and party favors.

Our meringues are made in Mill Valley, and are available for delivery throughout the Bay Area. You can find us at local farmers markets and specialty food markets throughout the Bay Area.
